Kindergarten Dwerkaten

A new kindergarten for 100 children is to be built in an industrial area in the district of Dwerkaten at the municipality of Lütjensee. From the highest point of the slightly sloping plot there is a beautiful view over the hilly landscape. Here the new building is planned, which takes up the round shape of the terrain on the slope. The children's group rooms are all oriented in this direction and are equipped with a high glass facade. The surrounding terrace is provided with a wooden pergola, which guarantees a sufficient shading in the high sun. The construction of the facade as well as the load-bearing construction is also carried out in wood construction. In the centre of the building there is a spacious multifunctional hall, which can be used both as a movement room and as a traffic area. The radially arranged roof construction is visible here, which also integrates skylights, which provide natural exposure and ventilation.  The roof is made of laminated plywood with a metal cover. Outside, play areas are integrated into the spacious outdoor play area as well as a parking area.
